Gary Poulin: Executive Director
As Founding Director of AYC- (American Youth Camps), Gary began his Journey teaching for a number of years in the Peoples Republic of China (Shanghai &Chongqing) at DHU (Dong-Hua University) School of International Business (Shanghai). A native of Maine, he attended graduate school in England at Durham University Business School (MBA in International Business) and is currently completing his Doctoral Degree in International Business (DBA). Oversees AYC's strategic direction.
Dr. Nick Ithomitis: International Program Liaison
Dr. Ithomitis consults for AYC and acts as special liaison with international groups attending AYC programs. He has more than forty years of experience in professional education, principal of three high schools, Maine Principals Association Board of Directors, University of Southern Maine presenter on international programming at USM International symposium.
Priscilla Doel: Language Program Development Director
Priscilla is a faculty member (past chair of the languages department) at Colby College, with affliated areas of international studies.Her areas of expertise include working with foreign language speaking immigrants to America in an advocacy role. She is fluent and extensively knowledgable in the romance lanaguages and has travelled and woked in association with her expertise in teaching and language proficiencies in Latin America and Europe, as well as in the USA and Canada. With AYC, she has brought creativity and novel new ways of learning to the classroom and is very much liked by the Chinese students.
Ken Walsh: Strategy Consultant
Ken is the CEO of the (Boys Club/Girls Club/YMCA at the Alfond Youth Center) in Waterville, Maine USA.
His many years of experience with strategic initiatives, and community outreach, national, and international experience have positioned him well to help AYC with consulting on various programs, partnerships, and opportunities both in the US and with China.
Demin Poulin: China Program Director
Mrs. Yao is a native of China. Her background includes working for the international company TCS as country manager before joining AYC. She has extensive experience working cross-culturally. She has developed many sister-school relationships between Chinese and Americans schools for AYC. Additional responsibilities include all marketing activities in China including International Education fairs/expos held in China. She holds the title of Director of our China office since 2006.
Hong Yao: High School Exchange Program Director
Mrs. Hong is based in the United States, although a native of China. She currently is in charge of all College Applications processing and Consulting for Chinese high-school graduates who intend to study at the College/University level in the USA. She also Consults on US/China High School Partnerships/Programs. She has worked for AYC since 2006.
