Now in its fifth year, the international Youth Leadership Program at Colby College is designed 
to prepare students for academic success in higher education and to develop leadership skills
that will help them become more successful in their academic and professional lives.

  • Experience life on an American College campus and develop a greater understanding of higher education in the United States.

             Who are eligible

Students entering 7th-11th grade

Qualified participants who have attended Youth Leadership camp have come from schools in Europe including Greece and Italy, the United States, and China. Our aim is to bring the best and the brightest from these high achieving schools so our campers can engage with highly motivated students from across the globe.

          Tuition and Payment:​​​​​


$ 1,350 US dollars per camper, These fees are all inclusive: for all daily activities, trips, lodging and food. (Scholarship avaiable for Maine residients) 
Airport pick up and drop off are provided for a Surcharge (at the Portland, Maine Jetport) on the first and last day of camp (Only for campers flying to camp), the cost is $100 dollars per ride.

The Leadership camp takes place on the campus of Colby College in Waterville, Maine/USA. Campers will dine in the award-winning Dining Hall and reside in the comfortable dorms at Colby.​​
Founded in 1813, Colby College is the 12th-oldest private Liberal Arts college in the country.  Located in central Maine, our 714-acre Mayflower Hill campus overlooks downtown Waterville and the Kennebec River Valley.  The beautiful, picture-postcard campus offers guests a safe, retreat-type setting that fosters learning and growth.  Each summer, more than 6,000 people from Maine and around the globe come to Colby College to attend medical training courses, conferences, and seminars, as well as youth programs and sports camps.

Is there a sibling discount?
The first sibling is a full-cost participant. Each additional sibling participant is discounted $100.
 
Is there an early bird discount?
The early bird discount is $100 if you pay the tuition Before Mar 15, 2020.
 
Is the program fee refundable?
The program fee is non-refundable. If participation is not possible after processing, the camp fee can be credited to a future leadership program.
 
What is the cost of camp if I am a commuter?
We do accept commuters for the camp. The commuter discount is $300.00.
 
I’m attending the camp from far away, what is the closest airport to fly into?
The closest airport to campus is the Portland, Maine Jetport (PWM) and is approximately 60 minutes away from campus. The tuition does Not cover transportation to or from the airport. We provide Surcharged pick up and drop off service to and from PWM. The cost is $100 dollars per ride, per camper.

I am trying to coordinate travel to and from the camp, when should I arrive and depart?
Registration takes place from 3:00 pm at Cotter Union Building at Colby College (otherwise referred to as the Student Union) on the first day of camp.  Our last session will conclude at 9:00 am on the final day of camp. All campers will need to vacate their dormitory by 8:00 am. NOTE: It is highly recommended that campers Not fly out of PWM (Portland, Maine Jetport-Airport) before 2:00 pm.

How do you assign dorms and roommates?
We match roommates and group the rooms according to age and gender. If two campers who are the same age and grade request to live together, we can try to accommodate them, but this is Not always possible for various reasons.
 
Is the Leadership Camp associaed with religion?
No, the Leadership Camp is not associated with religion. Our campers come from all different backgrounds and there are no religious activities at camp.
 
How many campers attend International Youth Camp at Colby college?
Our enrollment is limited to 60 campers per session, and is very selective.

  • Phone Charger (Have an Adaptor for US voltage which is 110 volts)

  • NOTE: *** CASH $$$: Campers will have the option of snacks for Purchase and the opportunity to visit Colby College bookstore
